Prothane

Prothane Polyurethane Bushings, Mounts, Chassis and Suspension Parts

Prothane manufactures a wide range of high-performance urethane products as replacements and upgrades for bushings, brackets, and OEM (factory) rubber parts that will last the life of your vehicle. Urethane/Polyurethane is a term used to describe a family of elastomers (any compound exhibiting the characteristics of natural rubber; stretchy and elastic). Poly meaning “many” and “urethane” denotes the classification of the chemical structure. Polyurethane or Urethane for short is used as a solid cast material (bushings, mounts, mount inserts, etc.) that can be compounded as soft as a rubber band or as hard as a bowling ball. Each product is specially formed to exact specifications for resilience, performance, and durability for the specific application.

Prothane has exclusive and innovative technologies that guarantee stability and high performance every time. Each product is specifically tailored to exact specifications of resiliency, performance and durability for the specific application. That is why the PROTHANE™ products are greatly superior. Accesspeed is proud to offer Prothane products to our customers. With our lowest price match guarantee, you will always find the best combination of price and selection at Accesspeed.

Block Kits

What do suspension blocks or lift block kits do?

Lift blocks allow you to raise or lower the suspension (usually rear) to achieve the perfect ride height or stance. This is a popular option when you lift your front, and the rear sags like a ’65 Impala rolling down Crenshaw on switches. Many refer to this as the Cali Lean because, like many vehicle customization trends, it originated in California. In Eastern states, it is also called the Carolina Squat. One thing you need to consider when adding blocks is the potential for axle wrap. Lift blocks increase leverage on the axle, which can cause twisting. Accesspeed customers who purchase 1” to 3” blocks have never reported any issues, which is why we do not sell the large block kits.
