What is a DOD or AFM delete?

Displacement on Demand (DoD) or Active Fuel Management (AFM) are cylinder deactivation software programs that improve fuel mileage by shutting down half of the cylinders under light-load conditions. DOD Delete products remove the deactivation, allowing all of your vehicle cylinders to remain running while the engine is on.
