MSD Ignition Boxes, Coils, Controllers, Starters, Spark Plug Wires and Distributors

Racers never stop experimenting as they search for every way to wring out more power or handling performance to gain an edge over the competition. The team at MSD is no different as they strive to deliver the products you need to meet your performance goals. MSD continues to innovate and invent components and technology that deliver performance and reliability with products that are easy to use and install. Founded in 1970, MSD Performance has been driving the development of innovative components that helped shape the way MSD cars race and perform. From super speedways to road courses, land speed racing to top fuel dragsters, and of course your traditional hot rod, MSD has provided the components to fire nearly anything in motorsports. MSD currently offers Ignition Boxes, Ignition Coils, Distributors, Spark Plug Wires, Crank Triggers, Atomic EFI, Transmission Controllers, RPM & Timing Controls, Spark Plugs, Alternators, Fuel Pumps, Fuel Pressure Regulators, Starters, Fuel Filters and Magnetos.

Early on, MSD focused squarely on ignition systems with revolutionary products like the multiple sparking CD ignition, timing and rev controls, billet aluminum distributors and the Pro-Mag, an incredible breakthrough in power and endurance. MSD was the first company to develop and offer the multiple sparking, capacitive discharge ignition for engines. The line of MSD 6-Series Ignitions are the most popular aftermarket ignitions in the world due to MSD’s race-proven performance on the track and reliability on the street! Today MSD is developing electronics for your entire powertrain. The Atomic EFI systems for the LS engine platform and throttle body are now complemented with a transmission controller. MSD DynaForce Starters and Alternators ensure that your engine cranks over to fire up and the Alternators keep it charged. MSD is poised to deliver components that work and communicate together to provide performance and value. Accesspeed is proud to offer MSD Performance Ignition products to our customers. With our lowest price match guarantee, you will always find the best combination of price and selection at Accesspeed.

Battery Chargers, Jumper Boxes and Jumper Cables

What is the difference between a battery charger and a battery jumper box?

Vehicle battery chargers normally plug into a 110-120 volt AC power outlet in order to charge or recharge your battery. This process can take hours or even days, depending on your battery level and the charger output. A portable jumper box (also called jump starter, booster box, battery booster, emergency booster and battery jumpers) can be used anywhere to “jump” your battery and start your vehicle.

What does a battery tender or battery maintainer do?

A battery tenders (battery maintainer) is designed to maintain a charge without overcharging. The battery tender will automatically shut off when the battery is fully charged, and turn on again when the battery gets low.
