With plenty of power waiting to be unleashed, the G8 is naturally capable of blistering performance. JBA makes it better! JBA's first offering for the G8 comes in the way of high performance headers that elevate that performance. Starting with the oversized ports and smooth flowing 1-3/4" mandrel-bent 14-gauge stainless steel tubing, these headers give an unrestricted path for spent gasses leaving the engine. They merge into JBA's patented Firecone® high flow collector for improved exhaust scavenging and reduced turbulence. Each header seals tight to the exhaust via JBA’s sealing dome connection. Each header includes 3/8” thick laser-cut single piece flange and premium quality hardware and gaskets for durability. These headers are a direct bolt-on installation, will not void factory warranty and are 50-state emissions legal. Accesspeed has worked closely with JBA and find the benefits for your G8 include increased horsepower and torque throughout the RPM range, improved throttle response, reduced back pressure and under hood temperature, increased low-end torque and passing power, and it just looks incredible under the hood! Additionally, JBA Headers make the engine more sensitive to other modifications, such as a stainless intake, computer upgrade, exhaust, supercharger, or nitrous.

Wondering about Long Tubes Vs. Short Tubes: We have seen results from only one test that compared short tube and long tube headers on the same vehicle, a 2005 Pontiac GTO LS2.  The customer's car had a Spintech 1XGTO5DLR 2005-06 Pontiac GTO Cat-Back Dual Rear Exit Exhaust System and an AEM air intake system.  After installing each set of headers, JBA Short Tube Stainless and SLP Long Tube Stainless, the car was tuned on the dyno for optimum performance.  The end result was that the long tubes produced approximately 4 HP more than the short tubes at the wheels.

The bottom line...  If emissions are not a concern, and you want maximum power, spend the money and go with the long tubes.  If emissions are an issue, or if you don't feel that the extra HP is worth the extra money, go with the short tubes.

Due to GM's build tolerances varying from car to car, this item may require loosening your engine mount to adjust for steering system clearance.  This is an quick process than can easily be performed at the time of installation.  This item may require aftermarket ignition wires if the OEM coils are mounted too low.  Coil mounting positions vary from car to car.
