How the Vertical Door Kit Works
Known as Lambo Doors, Scissor Doors, Wing Doors and a few other names, your front doors will open outward approximately 12 to 18 inches and then lift vertically. The included gas shocks support the weight, providing a smooth, effortless motion that perfectly complements your rear Falcon Wing doors.

VDI hinges are made from 3/8" and 1/2" domestic hardened steel, making them virtually bulletproof. Unlike universal kits, VDI hinges are designed specifically for the weight and safety standards of the Tesla Model X, maintaining the vehicle's proper factory door seal for a quiet, leak-free ride.

For Model X vehicles with automatic (self-presenting) front doors: the motor must be disconnected from the door and relocated.
