Airaid

Airaid Cold Air Intake Systems, Air Filters and Poweraid Throttle Body Spacers

Airaid started with air filters, but their vision has grown broader. Pushing beyond the street, into new rugged frontiers, Airaid is optimizing air intake across the entire spectrum of internal combustion. From powdery snow-slopes, sand dunes, mud bogs, drag strips and road trips; to finish lines everywhere, across every terrain, we power drivers and explorers to dream bigger, adventure further, and discover their full potential.

Airaid’s first product was a filter that replaced restrictive factory components. These were sold as intake system kits, and were met with immediate popularity in the high performance aftermarket. Airaid rapidly expanded these offerings for popular cars and trucks while integrating leading-edge technology into their design and manufacturing process. This continuous push for groundbreaking solutions allowed Airaid to stand out from competitor’s product offerings, and even attracted OEM companies for special production vehicle kits. Remaining focused on air-flow management, Airaid developed the Poweraid throttle body spacers in 2000 to further enhance high performance air intake systems. By 2001, Airaid was manufacturing their own air filters in order to meet the highest quality standards. Based on laboratory testing, the Synthaflow and Synthamax filter media leads the industry in efficiency. Today, Airaid continues to develop air intake systems without boundaries, always exploring beyond the horizon. Accesspeed is proud to be on that journey with Airaid, offering their entire product line to our customers. With our low price match guarantee, you will always find the best combination of price and selection at Accesspeed.

What is an air filter box?

The air filter box, also known as an air box, is the component of the air intake system that houses the air filter. Unlike other parts of your vehicle, the air box does not have a set maintenance or replacement schedule.

What does an air box do?

An air box is an empty chamber on the inlet side of most combustion engines. It collects ambient air from outside the engine bay and feeds it to the intake hoses of each cylinder. The airbox allows the use of one air filter instead of multiples, reducing complexity.
